Who are we?

We are Tallinn University International Club, an organization which was established in 2006 as a part of Tallinn University's Student Union. The international club became an Erasmus Student Network (ESN) section in 2009 and is internationally known as ESN TLU IC.

What is ESN?

ESN - Erasmus Student Network, is the biggest student association in Europe and was established on 16th of October 1989 and was legally registered in 1990 for supporting and developing student exchange.

ESN is present in more than 900 Higher Education Institutions in 41 countries. The network is constantly developing and expanding with an average annual growth rate of 12% since 2005. There are around 15,000 active members that are in many sections supported by "buddies" mainly taking care of the international students. Thus, ESN involves around 40,000 young people offering its services to around 220,000 international students every year.

ESN works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing the student exchange from different levels and providing an intercultural experience also to those students who cannot access a period abroad ("internationalisation at home").

What do we do?

Our goal is to offer international students a fun and enjoyable school life, help the newcomers, and introduce them to the Estonian culture. We do it by organizing great trips and fun events, such as Welcome Party, Estonian Evening, International Express, workshops, etc. Therefore, keep an eye on our event schedule and do not miss out on anything!
